Charging at public charge points on your journey

Zap map or Plug Share are apps for smartphones you can download in the Appstore or GooglePlay Store. You can input the make and model of the TrydaNi car and it will show you all relevant chargers along your route. There are reviews of the chargers and you can see availability as well. This ensures you can plan your route effectively and safeguard against running out of charge before you reach your destination.

We recommend giving yourself a buffer of at least 50 miles left on the battery range when planning to stop and charge. This should provide you with enough range to find another charge point, in case the one you planned to use is unavailable for any reason. If it is very cold then the battery range might not be as accurate as in warmer months so that buffer allows you to mitigate that.

It’s also a good idea to visit the websites of your chosen charge point providers, to get the most up-to-date information on the type of charger(s), when they were last used, current status and cost of charging.

For bookings longer than 100 miles, it will be necessary to use a public charger and so pay for it yourself (that’s why we don’t charge per mile for any miles after the first 100). When you use a public charger you will need to pay with a debit or credit card.
