Returning and plugging in a vehicle

The Home location is the original place you started your booking. This is the only place you can start or end your bookings and plug in the car at the end of your journey.

There are two types  of home location:

  • Hosted - charger and parking space at one of our partner organisations and is dedicated to TrydaNi cars alone.
  • Public - public charger in a public space that is not dedicated solely to the TrydaNi EV.

All TrydaNi vehicles contain a card that allows you to start and end a charge, either at the vehicle’s dedicated charger, or at the nearest public charger (see “Clubs without a dedicated charge point”).


To start a charge at a dedicated charge point, follow these steps:

Step one: Ensure the engine is switched off

Step two: Check both ends of the charging cable are fully plugged in

Step three: Tap the card on the charge point to start the charge (wait a few seconds and you should see flashing lights to indicate the charge has started)

If it’s still not charging, unplug both ends (if possible) and restart the process.
