Using the car:
When you first collect the car, it may still be plugged into the charge point. If so, press the button on the right side of the steering wheel with the little plug image. Remove the charging cable and put it into the bag supplied (unless it is very wet). The cable must always be kept in the car’s boot when not in use. Finally, remember to close the charging cover and flap on the front of the car.
Locate the physical car key inside the glove compartment. Take this key with you during your booking. This is to ensure that you can still access the car and drive it, even if your phone battery dies or you lose signal. Return the physical car key back to the glovebox at the end of your booking.
Starting the car:
Start the vehicle by placing keycard in the storage well by gearstick. With your right foot on the brake, press start/stop.
Select D for drive or R for reverse on the gearstick depending on how you are leaving the home base. To move, put your right foot on the accelerator. Later, when you have finished parking, switch off the car by putting your foot on the brake and pressing the start/stop button.
End of journey:
Return the car to its home parking space. If the car charge is below 95%, then it will need plugging in. Release the charger flap using the plug button to the right of the steering wheel. Put the car on charge by removing the cable from the boot, plugging it into the car and the charger wall plug.
Ensure the car is charging before you end your booking. The charge point will make a loud click, then check the light on the charging unit: Blue = Not Charging Green = Charging
Checking the car is charging:
Check the screen on the charging unit to see if charging has commenced, then check the screen behind the steering wheel, you will see three figures:
1) The amount of time it will take to get to 100%
2) The percentage charge in the battery
3) The number of miles available on current charge
- Sometimes you can hear a high-pitched whine.
