Using TrydaNi without a smartphone
It is possible to use the TrydaNi service if you do not own a smartphone.
When joining as a member please let us know you don’t have a smartphone and we will send Vehicle Access Card in the post.
You will need to use a computer to make your booking online via our web app.
You can then use your Vehicle Access Card to start your booking and unlock the car.
STEP 1: (Unlocking the car): Locate the grey Vehicle Access Card reader on the passenger side windscreen. Hold your card there for 1-2 seconds. This will start your booking and you should hear the car unlock.
STEP 2: (Locking the car during your booking):When parking the car during your booking, you should take the physical car key located in the glovebox and use this to lock and unlock the vehicle prior to the end of your booking.
This ensures that you retain access to the vehicle in areas with poor signal quality.
STEP 3: (Ending your booking): After you have plugged in and made sure that the car is charging at the Home Location, tap your Vehicle Access Card on the grey card reader once to lock the car, and a second time within 20 seconds to end the booking.
You will be able to tell that you have successfully ended the booking as there will be no lights showing on the card reader.
If there is an orange light that flashes when you tap the Vehicle Access Card this is usually because a car door is not shut properly. Open and close each door, including the boot, and then try again.
